In Fun with Food Camp, they’ve done everything from cooking to cleaning and a little bit of free time, and it seems to be going well.”įelt also said the camps would not be just a place for parents to drop off their kids but would also have an educational component provided by credentialed teachers. “They’ve responded well in class, everyone’s been helpful. “They’re active the whole time, and then they get to move on and do something else in their day,” she said. ![]() “That’s definitely really exciting.”įelt also has hosted meet and greets with homeschool families, where parents can come by and ask questions on homeschooling and mingle with other families, while their kids get to do small art projects.įelt said children have enjoyed the camps so far, especially the short blocks of time they can enjoy the activities. “She has an established client base, and this is her first commercial space,” Felt said. She has also partnered with Discovery Hub and will be providing art lessons to students there. Cristie Baron began the business as a mobile art studio to provide art classes for kids and adults, and now she is establishing her own brick-and-mortar business. In the fall, Discovery Hub will be offering workshops for homeschool families and afterschool enrichment classes.Īdditionally, Discovery Hub will be sharing a space with Joyful Art Studio. That turned out to be the spark for The Discovery Hub. To help keep their minds active in fun ways, Rachel Felt created The Discovery Hub, which offers seasonal camps, workshops and after school enrichment.
